Requirement and expectation on this course

Participants must equip with the knowledge of calculus, linear algebra , basic probability and statistics, and basic finance concepts such as investment and derivatives pricing.

Over a period of 6 days, there will be 20 hours of lectures and practical session in computer lab, as well as an 2 hours test on the last test.

Objective

"Fintech takes the original financial system and improves its technology, while Techfin is to rebuild the system with technology. In this course, we shall study Fintech using tools from mathematics, statistics, and finance. Neither detailed IT issues nor philosophical issues will be discussed.

Fintech is an emerging area under finance. With the rapid development of technology, the utilisation of technology to enhance processes within the financial sector has become a key developmental goal for companies and banks. As such, professionals within the financial sector would be able to utilise the skills and knowledge picked up from this course to assist in the digital transformation of their companies, thereby allowing this group of learners to be at the forefront of the technological advancement in the financial sector. "

Various Funding Schemes

1) SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy (MCES)
  Singaporeans aged 40 and above may enjoy subsidies up to 90% of the course fees.
 
2) Workfare Training Support (WTS)
  Singaporeans aged 35 and above (13 years and above for Persons With Disabilities) and earn not more than $2,000 per month, may enjoy subsidies up to 95% of the course fees.
 
3) Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)
